Exotic ruminants

The Swedish farm animals have been expanded with exotic ruminants such as bison, yak and water buffalo. These production animals come from different conditions and ecosystems than the Swedish ones and therefore place different demands on care and feeding. They can also be sensitive to diseases that exist among Swedish animals but to which the new ones have not long since adapted.
