Research area :The aim of the doctoral project is to study the development of immunological memory and tolerance with special focus on the interaction between antigen-presenting cells and T cells from different immunological compartments in influenza virus-infected individuals.

Furthermore, the ability of various drugs to restore production of T cells by the thymus in immunocompromised individuals, e.g. the elderly, and thus improve the immune response after infection with or vaccination against influenza virus will also be studied.
