Title:PhD
Research area :Research is focused on development of molecular assays for pathogen-specific detection of nucleic acid sequences in animals. Experience in different real-time PCR design, application and in droplet digital PCR, primer and probe design, assay optimization and validation. A focus in recent years has been Circovirus infection in pig and wild boar.
The research is also focused on unknown pathogen detection (mostly viruses) using Illumina MiSeq and Oxford Nanopore Technologies MinION high-throughput sequencing platforms. Experience in deep sequencing, viral nucleic acid enrichment, library preparation for NGS and metagenomic data analysis using CLC Genomics Workbench.
